From Kitchen Experiments to Eco-Luxury Atelier
There’s something quietly special about light. It softens a room, brings warmth, and slows down the rush of everyday life. That’s really how it all began for me, not with a big plan but with a small spark of curiosity.
I started pouring wax one evening simply because I wanted to try it. It was meant to be a creative break from long days of studying and working, but I fell in love with it straight away. The sound of the melted wax, the scent filling the air before it even sets, the calm that comes from watching something take shape. Before long, my kitchen turned into my little studio, full of thermometers, oils, and experiments with every new batch.
Learning the Craft

It didn’t come easy. My first batches were a mix of excitement and trial and error. Some came out perfectly, others frosted or sank or just didn’t look right. I’d stay up late comparing notes, trying different temperatures, and testing blends until I found the one that felt right using rapeseed and coconut wax.
At first, I thought candle making was just melt and pour, but I quickly learned that every wax and fragrance behaves differently. Some scents blended instantly, while others needed time. I still remember the first time I realised that scent throw isn’t about how much oil you use, but when you add it. That sweet spot when the wax is just cool enough to hold the fragrance properly became one of my favourite discoveries. Those little moments of progress were what kept me going.
The Meaning of Light

The name Casa De Lumière means “House of Light,” and it came to me one late night while I was pouring. It just felt right. It wasn’t only about candles or wax melts; it was about warmth, calm, and creating a space that feels like home.
Light, to me, isn’t just something you see. It’s something you feel. It shows up in scent, texture, and mood. It changes, it’s imperfect, and that’s what makes it beautiful. That idea of finding beauty in the imperfect is where my love for Wabi-Sabi comes in.
Scent and Soul
Every fragrance I make starts with a feeling. Silva Linen feels like fresh linen sheets and open windows in spring. Whispering Pines feels like a quiet walk through the woods after rain. Tibetan Bloom has that calm, incense-like stillness at the end of the day.
Each scent tells a little story, drawn from moments in nature, travel, or everyday life. Even naming them became its own ritual, each one chosen to capture a certain mood: Velvet Rise, Étreinte, Driftveil, Isla Véla.
The Atelier

What started on my kitchen counter has now become my small workspace, my atelier. A table filled with wax pots and bottles, drawers of labels and kraft boxes, and the gentle hum of the wax melter in the background.
Everything from Casa De Lumière is still made by hand. I measure, pour, blend, and label each one myself. There’s something grounding about that process, knowing that every piece carries a bit of time, care, and calm. It’s eco-luxury, but also deeply personal.
A Little Light, Shared
Casa De Lumière has been a journey of patience, learning, and creativity. It’s not just a business to me. It’s a reflection of who I am, calm, curious, and always searching for balance between art and science.
Whenever someone lights one of my candles or melts one of my bars, I always imagine that quiet moment, the soft glow, the slow release of scent, the calm it brings. That’s the kind of light I want to share. Not bright or loud, but gentle. Honest. Real.
Because light isn’t just what you see. It’s what you feel.
