Embracing Light, Simplicity, and the Beauty of Imperfection

Oh wow, this is really happening!

I can hardly contain my excitement as I take another step toward bringing Casa De Lumière to life. What started as a little spark of an idea is finally becoming real. From testing wax blends to perfecting fragrances, every moment has been a mix of creativity, patience, and, to be honest, a fair bit of trial and error. But that’s the beauty of it. Every imperfection adds character, and every challenge becomes part of the story.

I always wanted Casa De Lumière to be more than just candles. It’s about creating an experience, a feeling, a little pocket of warmth and light in someone’s day. I imagine people coming home after a long day, lighting one of my candles, and simply taking a breath. That’s the goal, pure, simple, cosy calm.

Simplicity is at the heart of everything I do. Inspired by the philosophy of Wabi-Sabi, Casa De Lumière celebrates the beauty in imperfection, the charm of the handmade, and the flow of everyday life. There’s something comforting in knowing that not everything has to be flawless to be beautiful. Each candle and each wax melt carries a little of that philosophy, a quiet reminder to slow down, to appreciate the small things, and to find warmth and calm in the moment.

Working with different waxes has been a real learning curve. My candles are made with a gentle blend of hydrogenated soy, coconut, and other sustainable oils. They’re 100 percent plant-based, with no beeswax or petroleum, for a clean, luxurious burn. My wax melts are made with a premium blend of rapeseed and coconut wax, carefully sourced for sustainability and performance. It took plenty of testing to get it right, but I think I’ve found the balance I was looking for.

Right now, my focus is on wax melts, but there’s more to come. Candles, diffusers, room sprays, so many ideas waiting to take shape. For now, I’m taking it one step at a time, enjoying the process, learning as I go, and getting closer to launching something that feels truly special.

I can’t wait to share more as this journey unfolds. Stay tuned. Casa De Lumière is just getting started.
