Two Blends I Can’t Stop Burning
Share
Some scents feel seasonal.
Some feel like a memory.
And some just feel like home.
I didn’t set out to pick favourites. I pour what I love, and every scent has its own story. But there are two I’ve been reaching for again and again this autumn, even without realising it.
The softly elegant Silken Echo...

There’s a softness to Silken Echo that just fits. It has that light floral-fruity feel that’s not too sweet, not too sharp… just calm.
I love how it gently fills the room without taking over. It’s the kind of scent that suits a slow morning or one of those quiet, end-of-day moments.
Comforting. Familiar. Easy to fall into.
and then the nostalgic Velvet Rise, what can I say...

Velvet Rise is different. It holds something emotional for me.
There’s a brightness in it, that uplifting mix of bergamot and apple, but beneath it is a floral warmth that instantly brings back a part of home. It reminds me of Sampaguita (Jasminum sambac), the national flower of the Philippines.
Fresh. Clean. Slightly green.
It’s not actually a sampaguita blend, but there’s jasmine in the heart of this fragrance, and that’s probably what takes me there. I grew up around that scent without thinking much of it at the time. But when I caught that familiar note while testing Velvet Rise, it stopped me.

It felt like being back in my birth home.
The scent also reminded me of Sampaguita garlands, such a simple thing back there, sold outside churches or worn on special days, but the scent stays with you. It’s pure, gentle, and honest, the kind that doesn’t need to try.
The moment I smelled it in the wax, I paused.
It was as if something soft and familiar found its way back to me.
It’s more than just a floral blend. It’s a memory, a quiet connection that feels both comforting and alive.
I’ve poured so many blends over time, but these two keep finding their way back to me. Maybe it’s comfort. Maybe it’s the timing. Or maybe it’s just that one of them takes me home every time I smell it.
Either way, I’m not questioning it. Just enjoying the scent while it lasts.
If you love calm, elegant florals, you might find something special in these.
